NOTICE: Lake is currently being dredged and can't be used for any water activities. Water level will be reduced by 10' by Mid-Oct '24 and then added back slowly end of April '25 and fill through summer - RATES REDUCED during this time. TBD when lake will be open for use summer of '25 as it will take up to 9 months to fill completely. House still great for weekend get-away/golf trips with a great living fireplace and a yard fire pit) The gated community of Treasure Lake is in the heart of the PA Wilds and close to the PA Elk heards of Benezette. September and October are great times of the year to enjoy Treasure Lake and go to see the Elk. We are 1 hour west of State College, home of Penn State University, and 45 min away from Punxsutawney - home of the famous Groundhog Day!
Most streets are 25mph and great for walking and biking. Multiple state parks are in easy driving distance for your use year round.
Enjoy an amazing weekend or stay a week to experience all that lake life at Treasure Lake has to offer. Just 1 mile off of I-80, Treasure Lake features 2 golf courses, multiple restaurants, a marina for all kinds of non-powered watercraft rentals, and miles of area biking and hiking trails. For additional dinner options and shopping, visit the nearby town in Historic Dubois, Pa.
The house features 3 floors and sleeps 12 with couches all available.
Top floor: Master bed & full bathroom with a king sized beautiful log bed
1st floor: State-of-the-art kitchen, dining room with a nice 8 person table for everyone to gather and an open living space with an incredible stone fireplace. There are 2 bedrooms (1 with 2 single beds and 1 with a king bed) on this floor as well as a full bathroom.
Bottom floor: An open common space with a TV and beautiful view of the lake. On this floor there is also a bedroom (2 queen beds) that is shut off from the rest of the space. In the main area there is a queen day bed, a pullout couch, 2 full size couches, a full bath, free weights and an exercise ball and a laundry room.
This property is nicely furnished. Kitchen utensils, plates, Kuerig & standard drip coffee pot (coffee not included), pots/pans, etc are provided. We will supply fresh linens and bath towels, but let us know if you prefer to bring your own. All linens and towels are washed between visits and left folded on each bed for your use. Please bring your own beach towels for use outdoors and on the lake. There is a washer/dryer onsite if you need to do laundry during your stay. Just bring along a few laundry pods and dryer sheets.
Non-owner boats are not permitted per Treasure Lake POA regulations but 4 kayaks, 2 inflatable kayaks, a canoe, and many rafts are available for your use.
Any person over 12 years old requires a PA fishing license to fish in either of the two lakes in Treasure Lake. We do not supply fishing poles or ice fishing supplies, but feel free to bring your own. Lake #3, Little Flipper Lake, is fully stocked and available for fishing for kids under 13 and seniors.
*BRING FIREWOOD* for the outdoor fire pit. WE CANNOT GUARANTEE FIREWOOD WILL BE ONSITE. You can buy firewood right by the Treasure Lake main gate. You'll need it for Smores and hot chocolate in those cold winter months.

Summary: We loved our stay at this cabin! It had everything you could need for a comfortable stay. The lake access was so convenient with the dock, kayaks, canoe, and life jackets right there. The gated neighborhood was beautiful and quiet. The yard felt private with the large trees on the property. There was so much wildlife around that our daughter said she expected them to come help with chores like a Disney movie. Deer, rabbits, a fox, ducks, etc… We highly recommend staying here if you want a relaxing time with family or friends.

Summary: We definitely enjoyed our stay here even though we spent a good bit of time out and about looking for elk. It is very comfortable and well furnished. Kitchen is well stocked and has everything you need. Outdoor area is also lovely, but unfortunately it rained a good part of our stay so when we were around we had to spend our time inside. There is games, puzzles, toys for kids, outdoor playhouse, swing. Very nice deck with views of the lake. While i hate to say anything negative about such a lovely place, there was a few things that we discovered during our stay that were less than ideal and the owners should be aware of. 1) the drip coffee maker was very grimy inside, assuming from hard water, so we had to use the Keurig. 2) Air fryer was very greasy inside and had remains of food in it. We didnt use it. 3) 1st time we went to use the bathtub there was hair and grime in it. Gave it a good rinse before i bathed my daughter. 4) For as much i hate to say it, there was zero communication from the host. Never got a response to some questions i had asked prior to arriving. No welcome message. No "thank you for staying" on check out. Not that this is a must but in all my other short term rental vacation stays we received something of the sort. Makes you feel appreciated as a guest. NOT trying to discourage anyone from staying here. You will enjoy it. Just sharing our experience. It was lovely and we enjoyed it. Thnx 4 letting us stay!

Summary: The house was nice. Basically and A frame with a big bedroom upstairs and more below. Some of the houses on treasure lake hide the fact that they are across the street from the lake and have "lake access" if you go across the street. This is not one of those - it is right on the lake down the lawn. Kayaks on the property were nice. IF I had one recommendation for the owner it would be to replace the 1st floor toilet with a better one as this one is not the greatest. Very minor thing and it did not affect our stay. It would be really great if they eventually put a hot tub on the patio too but that's a bit much to ask. Still a wonderful place and we enjoyed it. Rent this one for days paddling on the lake and enjoy.

Summary: We aged from 1 to 83 and all had a good time. The home was well stocked in the kitchen and otherwise. Caught many pan fish right off the dock, which was great for the grand kids.

Summary: We had a great time. My husband and I loved kayaking every morning and my grandchildren loved fishing, going to the beach, watching the deer in the yard and dinners all together either on the deck or around the fire pit. We had a great time.
